The composite finishing kit is everything you need to take even the most roughened composite and turn it in to a life like surface mimicking natural enamel. In this kit, you will find points to work around margins , the ED 9‘s do a beautiful job in contouring the facial surfaces of the anterior teeth. OS burs are designed to work on the lingual and occlusal surfaces. Polishing tips and polishing cups are available as well as the mandrel for the finishing discs from Brasseler. We have found the organization of this kit is ideal for finishing both composite resin and porcelain.

This kit mainly consists of Brasseler’s ET Series carbides. ET stands for “Esthetic Trimming.” This series of carbide burs is used to rapidly and accurately trim and finish composites. All of the carbides have a safe-ended, non-cutting tip to protect tissue. This series is the best-selling series of composite trimming and finishing burs in the country. This kit includes three types of ET burs:

• Red stripe/8 blade carbide for rapid contouring of composite
• Yellow stripe/16 blade carbide for controlled contouring and finishing of composite
• White stripe/30 blade carbide for final finishing that leaves a milled, glass-like finish on the composite.

Dr. Dawson has long recommended for the clinic to be completely organized. The interior/posterior preparation kit is designed for you in such that it has operative burs for direct resin dentistry. It contains two sets of veneer burs to be utilized whether you are doing a contact lens preparation or pressed ceramics, a series of crown and bridge burs that have both diamonds as well as carbide finishing burs and also a series of occlusal reduction burs for the posterior and reduction burs for the interior.

This bur kit was designed with efficiency in mind. Everything you should need to provide your patients the highest level of restorative dentistry is within this kit.

Depth cutter burs (LVS1 and LVS2) are specifically designed to allow quick and uniform reduction during prep. They are designed to automatically give the proper depth required for tooth prep. This kit is a multi-purpose/multi-material prep kit, as it has burs to prep for the following materials (all which require unique burs)

• regular stacked porcelain
• pressed porcelain
• Zirconia
• Gold/Pfm

Diagnosis and treatment planning is at the cornerstone of the Dawson philosophy. In treatment planning functional aesthetics excellence, you all learn to reshape teeth, contour provisionals and to do trial equilibrations. This kit is designed for that purpose. These four burs will be all you need to have available for you in the treatment planning area. We find this kind of organization will allow you to streamline the process and create predictable treatment plans every time.

Whether you are doing chair side cad cam dentistry or a full mouth rehabilitation, having to adjust porcelain and bring it back to a glazed surface is critical. The Dawson Academy in conjunction with Brasseler has put together a series of wheels and points to be used directly on porcelain. Once the case has been adjusted and the occlusion is ideal, use these points and tips to put a smooth glazed surface back on your beautiful dentistry.

This kit has Brasseler’s Dialite diamond-impregnated polishers for ceramics. This is the best-selling ceramic polishing system in the U.S. The kit has wheels and points designed to do the following:

• Adjust the porcelain with the blue wheels and points
• Pre-polish the porcelain with the pink wheels and points
• Obtain a high-shine with the grey wheels and points

*Note: The high-shine gloss you quickly obtain with Dialite polishers is the same kind of shine you would get with a lab glaze, only it is less abarasive to opposing dentition than a lab glaze and you do it yourself in less time.

As you do more extensive restorative dentistry within your practice, refining occlusions become a reality. Whether you are doing chair side cad cam dentistry or you are delivering larger and larger restorative cases that entail all porcelain surfaces, occlusal adjustments do become necessary. Once the adjustment is complete, this bur kit , the intra oral porcelain polishing kit has the necessary cups and tips for you to be able to take adjusted porcelain and take it back to a glazed surface. This kit is a must for any restorative dentistry who wants to finish cases in an ideal fashion.

These kits are very similar to the Extra-Oral Porcelain Polishing Kit (above) except this kit uses smaller shapes in the mouth- cups, points, and knife-edge discs.

Nothing tests the skills of the restorative dentist than the creation of exquisite provisional restorations. Many times, we fall short simply because we don’t have the tools necessary to contour the restorations ideally. This kit was designed specifically by the curriculum committee to provide all of the shapes and contours necessary to do the gross reduction to the inter-proximal trimming all the way down to creating the ideal smooth surface. We can’t recommend it highly enough as you continue your quest for excellence.

One of the more challenging procedures to implement in to your practice is occlusal equilibration. Being organized to do so is critical. The equilibration kit combines four burs. A doughnut shaped diamond, a finishing diamond, a carbide finishing bur and a grounding point. These four burs are all you need to efficiently do occlusal equilibrations, to be able to remove the necessary tooth structure as well as leave the dentition in a highly polished state. Combine this bur kit with the equilibration video and you will be creating ideal occlusal schemes very quickly.
