What is The Dawson Academy Laboratory Association?
The Dawson Academy Laboratory Association (DALA) is a group of independent (from the Academy) laboratories that practice the Dawson principles of Complete Dentistry and work together to support Dawson trained dentists.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Dawson Academy Laboratory Association is to connect Dawson trained dentists and Dawson trained laboratory technicians so together they can provide Complete Dentistry to the patients they serve.
Why is The Dawson Academy Laboratory Association important to dentists?
One of the greatest challenges facing dentists learning to practice the Dawson principles of Complete Dentistry is finding a laboratory to work with that has the necessary knowledge and skills to support the Dawson functional occlusion principles. Through the DALA, Dawson trained dentists are able to find laboratories with the knowledge and skills needed to practice Complete Dentistry. By working with a DALA member, dentists and laboratories are able to eliminate costly remakes and thus experience an increase in profits.
Why is The Dawson Academy Laboratory Association important to laboratory members?
The DALA is committed to promoting member laboratories that are technically proficient in all aspects of the functional occlusion principles taught by the Dawson Academy and emphasizing the role of the laboratory technician as an integral part of the specialist dental team. Members are provided with opportunities to network with colleagues and dentists in the Dawson community.
Goals of the Association
- Connect dentists and technicians trained in the Dawson principles of Complete Dentistry.
- Promote the dental laboratory technician as a member of the specialist team and partner in the provision of Complete Dentistry.
- Elevate the education of dental technicians in the areas of functional occlusion and esthetics.
