The Atlantic Canada/Toronto Study Club has you covered from Eastern Canada through to Atlantic Canada. Our study club is designed for the life-long learner and those who want to start their journey in Dawson principles and complete care dentistry. We are happy to welcome dentists, lab technicians and dental consultants who are excited to learn, build camaraderie, share ideas and grow!
Our club will meet 6 times a year on the last Friday of each month. We have both formal learning opportunities, with guest speakers, and informal discussions about challenging cases. Our focus is to offer opportunities for learning and gaining perspective, from Complete Dentistry through to Digital Dentistry.
Study club style:
Full days – Meetings will be in person*
*We will offer a hybrid as well (both in-person and virtual).
Open to dentists, treatment planning coordinators, and labs.
Prerequisites:
Functional Occlusion core curriculum course with The Dawson Academy

Your Study Club Clinical Leader
Dr. Feisel Haji
Dr. Feisel Haji, principal dentist and practice owner at Soho Dental, has been passionately providing comprehensive dentistry to his patients for 22 years. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996 and an Honours B. Sc. Degree in Human Physiology, he completed his General Practice Residency at the Hamilton General Hospital, treating medically compromised patients.
Dr. Haji is a proud graduate and alumni member of the Dawson Academy, and is committed to helping dentists to become true physicians of the masticatory system. He continues to be involved in dental education with the Dawson Academy as an ambassador and mentor to dentists following the curriculum.
Your Study Club Technical Leader
Dr. Henry Hintze
Henry Hintze, MDT, RDT, Owner of Masters, and Technical Leader of The Dawson Academy Study Club in Atlantic Canada/Toronto
Henry has been providing exceptional dental chair-side service for over forty years. While earning his Master’s degree in Dental Technology and attending the University of Hamburg in Germany, he also opened his first dental lab. His passion for excellence and continual education quickly propelled him to become a leader in the field of complex oral technology. He has been a lecturer across the USA and Canada for many years, and after he settled in Halifax, he began teaching dental technology at NS/IT and co-owned a large lab. He then founded Masters Dental Lab to specialize in providing lasting results for patients with complex oral challenges. Henry is motivated by his commitment to recommending and providing the best solutions for every dental patient, and many industry professionals turn to him as the leading expert.
Your Study Club Co-Leader
Dr. Luke Haslam
Dr. Luke Haslam B.Sc., D.D.S. is a graduate of the doctor dental surgery program at Dalhousie University and the recipient of many dental academic awards. He is the full-time practicing dentist and owner of Basinview Dental located along the Bay of Fundy coast in Deep Brook, NS and is the co-leader of the Atlantic/Toronto Dawson Academy Study Club.
Dr. Haslam is a graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute of Canada and is an active member of Cerec Doctors with advanced education and clinical experiences in the fields of CAD CAM technologies. He has earned a Fellowship through the World Clinical Laser Institute and devotes much of his personal time to continuing education both locally and internationally. Dr. Haslam’s treatment philosophy is to provide his patients with comprehensive oral health care with a focus on dental implant, restorative, functional and esthetic dentistry while implementing The Dawson Academy philosophies within his practice.
In his spare time, Dr. Haslam enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his wife and four daughters.
