Course Description:

Systemic inflammation is the leading cause of atherosclerosis and accelerated aging. Major sources of systemic inflammation include 5 high risk oral bacterial pathogens which travel(leaky gums) to the the vascular system(leaky arteries), and to the brain(leaky brain)… and to the digestive tract(leaky gut). This is one of the critical areas where dentistry meets medicine. This interactive day will be focused on helping each attendee learn how to use salivary testing in their practices to identify the levels of each oral pathogen, and how to successfully treat these pathogens. We will also learn more about how we can reduce inflammation through lifestyle strategies such as increasing nitric oxide levels, monitoring blood sugar levels, nutrition, and better sleep! We will also discuss how to build a successful business model focused on advanced periodontal protocols.
