A Cone Beam CT (CBCT) volume contains a lot of complex information that not only reveals the presence or absence of pathology in the craniofacial complex, but can also give the clinician important clues about the events that a patient may have passed through to attain his or her current craniofacial morphology. This morphology is a result of the remodeling of the facial skeleton as a result of function, dysfunction, or disease.
Through this dental CE live stream course, Dr. Tamimi will demonstrate her systematic method for evaluating a CBCT volume that enables the clinician to find these morphologic changes that are characteristic of specific types of dysfunction, such as those associated with degenerative joint disease, sleep-disordered breathing, and others.
