About the course
In this presentation, each participant will learn to recognize high functional risk situations, and how they could pose a problem for patients wanting elective cosmetic dentistry. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding The Dawson Academy’s timeless occlusal principles and how they can be utilized to manage force, and create stable, minimal-stress occlusions.
Additionally, key principles of smile design will be reviewed, as well as a treatment planning protocol and a treatment workflow that will lead to beautiful, functionally correct results. Lastly, Dr. Cranham will take you on a tour of the various ceramic systems on the market today, and how to align the benefits of each system with the specific esthetic and or functional problem of the patient.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss how to recognize the esthetically driven patient who has underlying functional problems that will put your restorations at risk
- Design a stable, minimal stress occlusion
- Determine how to treatment plan for optimum esthetics and function
- Identify which treatment option or options (reshaping, repositioning, restoring, or repositioning bone) is the right one for your patient.
