This hands-on denture CE course is built around the two reasons complete dentures feel less predictable than they should:
Comfort, esthetics, and function are harder to control than in fixed restorative cases.
Most dental training doesn’t go deep enough on sound removable prosthodontic principles.
The course works through those principles one appointment at a time: anatomy, impressions for conventional and immediate dentures, wax rim contouring, vertical dimension, centric relation, complete denture occlusion, lab communication, and delivery. The throughline is tooth position: knowing where teeth need to be esthetically, functionally, and phonetically, whether you’re making conventional complete dentures, immediate dentures, or a setup try-in for an implant-supported prosthesis. Through case examples and hands-on exercises, you’ll build a repeatable, step-by-step process for your next set of complete dentures.

General dentists, prosthodontists, and lab technicians who already understand Dawson’s occlusion and examination protocols, including centric relation records, facebow use, and a semi-adjustable articulator. It isn’t an introductory course. If you’re new to these concepts, start with Core 1.
A step-by-step process for complete dentures, from exam to delivery. Topics include the anatomy that supports a denture, impressions for conventional and immediate dentures, wax rim contouring, vertical dimension, recording centric relation with wax rims, complete denture occlusion, lab communication, and delivery. You’ll also learn how to transition patients with a failing dentition and help them understand complete dentures as interim prostheses.
Each session is limited to 20 students, which keeps the hands-on exercises small and gives you direct time with faculty. Seats are filled in order of registration.
Yes. The course combines lecture, clinical case examples, and hands-on exercises, where you’ll work through steps such as contouring wax rims and recording centric relation. It’s approved for 19 CE hours.
Yes. The course covers impressions for immediate dentures, transitioning patients with a failing dentition, and applying tooth position principles to a setup try-in for an implant-supported prosthesis.
