As Dr. Dawson has said, “Successful outcomes for patients with temporomandibular disorders can be some of the most rewarding experiences in a general dental practice”. Treating the TMD patient does not change what you already know from the core curriculum but simply adds additional layers to identify, diagnose and treat the more advanced patients.
As we continue the pathway to complete dentistry we will encounter patients who present with odotogenic problems as well as masticatory muscle, TMJ, airway issues and orofacial pain. This webinar will outline a process to care for the TMD patient and discuss additional records which may be needed for proper diagnosis.
