During a comprehensive evaluation you notice either occlusal wear, clicking in the joint or both. What are your next steps? How do you determine whether this patient presents with occlusomuscle disease or a “red” TM joint?
In this lecture participants will learn the proper clinical procedures to determine the health of the TM joints, diagnostic aids used for each and a flowchart for the course of treatment. Participants will learn how to incorporate treatment modalities such as occlusal splints to stabilize the joint as well as Invisalign and restorative procedures to stabilize the occlusion to maintain TM joint health.
Clinical documented cases will be examined and displayed from start to finish to show the progression of treatment and help the participants fully understand the topic.
• General vs Specialty patient
