Dawson Academy Dental School Outreach Committee

Below is the letter from the chairman to the rest of the committee:

My name is David Maddy DMD and I am the chairman of the Dawson Academy Dental School Outreach Committee.

We have our first Conference call scheduled and the information is included.  The objectives of our first meeting will be to discuss the topics listed. Please spend some time and make some notations about the topics before the conference call.

  • What are the challenges facing current students with regards to what will prevent them from providing optimum care to their patients as they leave school?
  • What are your dental school curriculums not teaching about occlusion?
  • What are the politics, if any, that stand in the way of making a change?
  • What do you hope to gain from being on this committee, and how do think the Dawson Academy can help your school?

Our group goal will be to come up with a vision on how the Dawson Academy can help dental schools with dental education.
