Several years ago, I am sitting at my desk, flipping through the mail, and I get this nice handwritten note from Pete Dawson, one of the people I respect most in this world.
It had such a profound effect on me when he thanked me for a little bit of work that I had done for The Dawson Academy that it made me change how I start my day. Every morning first thing, I like to write a nice, handwritten thank-you note.
First of all, it gives you a sense of appreciation for everything that the people around you are doing to help build your success. And the second thing is you are building relationships by doing this, and the key to business or dentistry, to meet your goals and be successful, is to put relationships first.
