Dawson Quick Tip: Avoiding Sloppy Dentistry
I think it was Clyde Schuyler who said, “Sloppy models is not an indication of sloppy dentistry, it’s absolute proof.” And that just doesn’t go for the model work. I think it goes with everything that we do. It’s really about embracing the discipline of what we do.
So when you take an impression, let’s make sure that’s as good as it can be. When we make those models, let’s make sure they’re as good as they can be. And then when we mount the models, let’s get them looking great so that we’re proud to present them, not only to the patient but maybe also to our colleagues as well.
When patients, dentists, and the lab technicians see the standard of what we do, they’ll be impressed. And they’ll be the ones that then want to provide you with the best work they could do for you.
