Course Description

This course will assess the different types of salivary diagnostic tests available, the purpose of each, and how to use them to improve patients’ overall wellness. We will review specimen collection techniques, which patients to test, and when. We will then discuss verbal skills for recommending and explaining these tests to patients.

Participants will leave the course with an understanding of how the results of these tests may affect the treatment plan for their patients in an integrative dental medicine practice.

About Dr. Gribble Hedlund

Dr. Angie Gribble Hedlund

Angela Gribble Hedlund, DMD, MAGD received her degree in dentistry from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia, and is the co-leader of The Dawson Academy’s Atlanta Study Club. She completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry, a Comprehensive Esthetic Restorative Continuum, and a mini-residency in Esthetic Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. She practiced with Goldstein, Garber, & Salama for 16 years, and opened her solo practice, Esthetic Dental Solutions in north Atlanta, in 2010. Dr. Hedlund has been on faculty with The Dawson Academy since 2013 and speaks on the subjects of Esthetic Dentistry, The Complete Exam Process, Treatment Planning, and Salivary Diagnostics. She has published articles in the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and the Journal of the American Dental Association. She has received her Mastership in The Academy of General Dentistry–a distinction held by fewer than 2% of dentists in the country.

For registrations paid in full at time of registering, requests to cancel or transfer registration in a Dawson Academy course, lecture, or event will be accommodated until 90 DAYS PRIOR to start date. Upon request a refund will be provided minus a $200.00 non-refundable deposit, or a one-time course, lecture, or event transfer, which remains valid for 12 months.
